I (FINALLY) got out of some lazy funk and installed a new contact form. It’s actually a “ticket support system,” but it achieves the same purpose. Crossing my fingers that the new contact system will work out nicely.
Hoping to make small updates and changes around my site…which I said I would do last summer but didn’t end up doing. Ehehehehe… ^^;;
Right now, I’m at some lost of what to do with my other site, Lovely Designs. My passion for web designing…just isn’t what it used to be a few years ago. I don’t really see myself making much of a return, but I’ll keep the site up as is, with some minor updates. I’m a little bummed, but I can’t deny that I don’t have a huge dedication to it anymore. *siiiiiiggghhhh*
I’m on summer break May 31 - July 31. I really “should” start preparing for next school year’s curriculum. But so far, I’ve pretty much just been lying around, watching old favorite TV shows, and replaying favorite video games.
My sister sometimes teases me (in good fun) about my tendency to play games I’ve already beaten or finished. But I heard that some people really do find it weird and ridiculous: unless it’s a multiplayer competition game like Mario Kart, they think games should be played once before “moving on.”
I guess I can understand that, considering stores like GameStop have that service where they buy back your old games, or there are stores where you can rent video games.
But I personally don’t see anything wrong or weird about replaying games. I am absolutely guilty of doing it. To me, when I want to replay a game, it means it’s really great, and I got my money’s worth. I feel the concept is pretty much the same as when people watch reruns of TV shows, or when we eat our “favorite foods” over and over. That’s when creators know they made something awesome: if it makes people want to go back and see it/play again.
I’ve replayed Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess THREE times since I bought the game in ~2013. And I’m going to replay it for a fourth time because I just really love this game. It never gets old for me. I still get a rush of adrenaline going through the dungeons and boss fights.
Hi Christine! Hope you remember me It's good to see you're doing well! I wanted to comment on your replaying of old games because I'm in the same boat. I am actually playing the remake of Pokemon games and have no shame in it. It keeps me busy and helps pass time! I wanted to reconnect with my blog friends from back in the day, especially since you've hosted my ever changing websites lol. I've taken a break from work and school, and finally got back to blogging. Enjoy your summer! Don't be a stranger!
